How To Enter The Remote Worker Awards

Semi Finalists
This year we will be choosing semi finalists so there is more chance for you to get publicity from the Awards. Early entries will benefit the most from the PR!

You Tube
Also new this year - upload your entry to You Tube and include your video in your entry. See point 10 for more details.

Closing Date: Entries close July 31st, 2010.

We would advise getting you entries in as soon as possible. This way you stand more chance of getting PR coverage for your efforts and it also avoids the ‘big mailbag’ effect at the finish!

Tips when completing your entry. Whilst we offer a critique service for a small fee, here are some tips you might like to follow anyway:

-   Please stick to the maximum 300 word guideline in each entry box. Less is more believe me!
-   Focus on illustrating the results that remote-home based working has made to you/your business
-   Facts are good
-   Focus also on what’s different and better about your business as a result of this method of working
-   Check your entry for spelling and grammar errors. It helps a lot when you don’t score this type of own goal!
-   Fill in all the fields

How to Enter
1. First decide which categories best suit you or your business - entrants are permitted to enter more than one category. Please make sure you read the criteria carefully - if you do not enter the correct category your entry will NOT be entered.

2. You will need to supply your full contact details, including your address, phone number and mobile as well as your email address. You will also be asked where you heard about 'The Remote Worker Awards'.

3. There are questions that will need to be completed in full. You may wish to check the criteria of the award you choose and then prepare your answers in a word document before submitting the details online. We suggest you copy and paste the questions into your document, mull over it to find the best answers and then enter the Award.

4. If you wish to enter multiple categories you must complete each category entry.

5. Your submission may be accompanied by reviews, press coverage, references, images of your home office or other relevant supporting material that you believe will enhance your entry.

6. If you have an unusual home office or work in a weird, wacky or wild place you are welcome to include photographic images to accompany your application. They should be saved as 'Your Full Name, Company Name and 'Award Category' before being sent to us.

7. Any supporting material that does not contain your Full Name, Company Name and Award Category will be deleted and therefore will not support your entry. They should only be emailed to Remote Worker Awards after you have entered the awards.

8.You should only submit this material if you agree for it to be displayed on Remote Employment and used for marketing and publicity.

9. Complete your entry form and remember to answer as many questions as possible to help the judges access your entry and give you the best chance of winning.

10. You Tube Entry. Please feel free to add a video link of your entry to impress our judges. All you have to do it upload your video to your You Tube account and include the link with your application. Send the video to us and we will add it to Remote Employment and The Remote Worker Awards You Tub video diary so everyone to view your entry.

11. Entries will be judged by our prestigious panel of judges so please ensure you give them all the ammunition they need to choose you as the winner of your category.

Deadline for entries is the 31st July.

Early entrants who are shortlisted as a Semi Finalist will benefit from extra publicity!
