The site would be one of its kind for people technically minded and people none technical to get information and resources regarding technology. It would give people, reviews, videos, podcasts, downloads, blogs, forums, social network, and products from its eshop plus more.
All of the sections would be integrated into their social profile where they can share information on the site or products they buy to friends. There would be a very user friendly side to the site for people to learn from quick or extended tutorials, also advanced categories for technically minded people wanting to expand their knowledge.
The site is aimed at every one with a slight interest in technology or someone wanting to buy products. The Monthly Newsletters, Magazines, Competitions and other sections would help keep people interested in the site, also the community side of it all would help drive the site and keep a lot of the content alive.
All of this is possible and the final launch of the site could be achieved by February 2011 with content included.
The overview shows a more detailed description of what I want to achieve and how it would affect me and others. I hope you read it and thanks for your time.
Claire Dennis, Llanelli, Carms
Claire has a Chronic condition her Idea is to set up a website that helps other people in similar positions to set up and run a Auction Store Home Business using on-line Auctions with useful easy to follow in depth information and tools.
She would like to set up a business to help others who cannot take a job and would like to start a on-line store but don’t know how to get started or find the thought of running their own business daunting .
Her website would be aimed at people currently on incapacity and disability benefit, stay at home mums or dads and others where a 9 – 5 or regular hours job is just not possible, the website would include in simple terms basic to advanced information on how to set up and run an on-line auction store, including things such as account spread sheets, HTML templates for auction listings, along with grants and funding available in areas for new business start ups, where to buy stock, wholesale website listings, instructions and hints and tips.
She is planning on earning revenue from advertising and affiliates and would like to eventually expand the business by adding a helpline and using the website information first running local courses then selling these course packs to be run nationally. She would like to get work started on this website very soon and she thinks she could make a viable business and also help a lot of people to become remote workers.
Claire said: 'It was fantastic to find out that I was shortlisted as a Finalist for the Lucent Vision New Internet Business Award, I am very passionate about starting my own business with having a chronic condition a Internet run business would be perfect opportunity to work around my condition and winning this award and the fantastic prize would give me a amazing head start and a great opportunity to get my ideas into action.'

Elena is very enthusiastic about personal coaching and education. While she was studying for her MBA (Finance) she was working in one of the Tragus Ltd. restaurant’ as a supervisor. Since then Elena really enjoys leading people and seeing them change for the better.
After she achieved a degree from Edinburg Business School and joined a financial team in one of the leading British Shoe designer as Finance Operation manager. She thinks a strong financial background helps to run a business successfully.
She would love to support foster children as she strongly believes that children are our future. Currently she sponsors one child in Africa, but she would love to do more.
She looks at the future optimistically and always hopes for the best outcome. She also loves challenges and as such, she was really excited about being shortlisted for The Lucent Vision New Internet Business Award.
Elena said: ‘Having my own business will give me freedom and financial means to make a difference in foster children’ life. There is nothing impossible. It is all about how much you want to get something done and how much you are prepared to sacrifice.’
Italo Baudo, Wishaw, Lanarkshire
My online business idea consists of promoting and selling, on a worldwide scale, Educational Manuals, Courses and DVDs on a variety of subjects that will interest a very wide variety of people.
The urgency in setting up a work-from-home activity has been dramatically emphasized by the fact I am becoming a parent with full custody of our 12 years old daughter.
The novelty in this idea lays in the fact that I am fluent in Spanish and Italian, as well as in English, and that I can translate these licensed manuals into Spanish, for example, and sell them to 320.000.000 potential buyers. The South-American market is very hungry of this kind of material which at the present time do not exist.
The target audience will vary tremendously, but is potentially huge. The manuals or educational materials embrace unlimited fields of interest. They belong to the “How to…” kind of educational literature, in electronic format.
These are just a few of the potential titles as an example….”Secrets of a professional Dog Trainer – Here’s how to get your dog to listen to you, anywhere you go”, “Secrets To Growing the Perfect Bonsai Tree”, “The Natural Way For You To Determine The Sex Of Your Child – Baby Gender Selection”, “ Write A Novel Fast – At Last, An Easy To Use And Highly Credible Software Programme That Will Quickly Help You Start – And Finish – Writing Your Novel” “How To Be Irresistible To Women”, “Get Paid To Travel To Work”, “How To Buy Cheap DVDs and Games and Make Money From Them”, etc., etc.
The products will be available globally and will target anybody who can read in English, Spanish or Italian.
